Setting up AvantGo

1.  Get on the internet and go to http://avantgo.com
2.  From this page, click on "Sign Up"
3.  Then follow the on screen instructions to set up your account.
4.  It will have you download the software to your computer. Be sure to click  Save this program to disk
5.  It will have you hot sync your handheld computer during the process so be sure that you are at a computer where you can do this.
6.  Once you have downloaded the software and have sync'd your handheld you will be asked to set up an account.
7.  You will need to select a username and password. Be sure to write these down.
8.  You will also need to enter an e-mail address.
9.  If you enter your real e-mail address, be sure to "deselect" or "uncheck" the boxes on this screen that ask you if you want to be contacted about "third party" offers etc... Otherwise you may get some junk e-mail sent to you.
10.  When you're done entering the information click on the "I Accept" button.
11.  Then you will be asked to "Configure Mobile Link". Go ahead and follow the on screen instructions here.
12.  You will be asked to "Sync" your handheld one more time. Go ahead and do this.
13.  After you finish this process you are set to go! Your handheld will be set up with several pre-set mobile channels. All you have to do is add the best channel out there and you're done!!!
14.  Click on Account to go into your new personal AvantGo account.

Adding DAGMEC Mobile!!!

1.  After you have installed the AvantGo software, you will come to a screen that says "Congratulations". From here click on "Account".
2.  From the next screen click on "Create a Personal Channel".
3.  The next screen asks for the "Channel Location" enter "http://dagmec.org/mobiledagmec". Then click "next".
4.  The next screen asks you to enter a "Channel Title" enter "DAGMEC Mobile"
(you don't need the quotes). Then click "next".
5.  On the next screen leave the size at 200k and click next.
6.  On the next screen click "yes" to follow offsite links.
7.  On the next screen set the channel depth to 12.
8.  On the next screen click "yes" to include images.
9.  Then on the following screen click "Finish".
10. After this is done you are set to go.
11. Just hot sync your device one last time "DAGMEC Mobile" channel will be added and then every time you hotsync in the future you will get the latest and greatest information from DAGMEC.
